At Team K Taekwondo; We are a welcoming martial arts community focused on building discipline, confidence, respect, and perseverance.
Serving the Oakland area, we offer opportunities for students of all levels to train, compete, and grow. Advanced students can join our Premier Team, representing Team K from local competitions to international tournaments.
We grow together, support each other, and carry what we learn beyond Taekwondo.
Grandmaster Jaegwan Kim
Grandmaster Kim built Team K around a simple idea: Taekwondo should be more than just a class. It should be a community.
With years of experience in training, competition, and instruction, he brings a strong and structured approach to teaching. What truly defines his school is the environment he creates. Students train together, support each other, and build real connections that extend beyond the mat; through events, gatherings, and shared experiences.
That sense of team does not replace discipline. It strengthens it. Master Kim believes that when students feel supported, they push each other to improve, grow, and stay accountable.
